One of the buildings at Touji. The interior was filled with statues of various dieties and some Buddhas.

This is the famous golden pavillion, Kinkakuji. This building was burnt down by a disgruntled apprentice monk some 50-100 years ago, so what you see here was rebuilt.

That's...a lot of hedge. And that guy up on the ladder...he's using clippers...not electric-powered...not gas-powered. Person-powered. Clippers.
